Life Skills       Friendship     Play

Neta Care believes in providing supports in a holistic approach both regarding the participant and their family. Our participants are not defined by their disability but by who they are as a person and who they want to be as an individual and within the community. We believe, to truly support our participants we need to look at the bigger picture which includes the people they care about. Therefore, at Neta Care we work closely with the family to ensure they are supported as well.

Our newly formed Neta Club After School and Vacation Program is now up and running and offers a chance for the youth to work together to build independent life skills. These learned skills are achieved in a fun community-based setting that benefits growth and life goals. Our fully trained staff love creating new activities aimed at each child’s ability.

What Makes a Good Vacation Program?

It helps young people develop strong, positive relationships with adults and provide an environment that helps young people develop positive relationships with peers.

·      It’s built on the young person’s strengths rather than focus on his or her weakness.

·      Provides challenges for youth, that provides opportunities for them to rise to.

·      Provides enriching, creative activities they can all participate in.

·      Gives youth the opportunity to develop leadership and decision-making skills.

·      Focus on the developmental needs of young people by nurturing autonomy allowing the programs give them guidance.

·      Provide all these opportunities over the long-term to assist in achieving their goals.
